How seller earnings are calculated on TRXWatt

Illustrative model — not a projection of returns. The figures below are computed from assumed network parameters and utilization to explain how seller income is derived. Actual earnings are variable and not guaranteed: they depend on the live network yield, burn price, governance changes, and real utilization — all outside our control — and nothing here is investment advice. See Risks.

As a seller you stake TRX into the pool and earn from three things at once: SR node-staking rewards (your stake keeps voting), energy-rental income (buyers pay to use your Energy), minus the 30% platform commission. The table below estimates the resulting APY across stake sizes and pool utilization.

Each cell shows the seller APY, you = your annual TRX, and fee = the platform’s 30% commission on that stake. Assumptions: 10 Energy/TRX/day, 100 sun/E burn price, buyers pay 50 sun/E and you receive 35 sun/E (30% commission), ~3.24% node-staking (voting) reward, TRX ≈ $0.33. APY is a rate, so it’s the same for every stake size — only the TRX/USD amounts scale. Live values differ; see the sell-page estimator and stats. Estimate only, not a guarantee.

Where the APY comes from

How earnings are split across stakers

There’s no matching of individual buyers to individual sellers. All income — rental payments and voting rewards, net of the 30% commission — flows into one shared pool and is split pro-rata by your share of the total staked TRX. Every staked wallet earns from the whole pool.

your earnings = (your stake ÷ total staked) × pool earnings

Example: stake 10,000 TRX into a pool that totals 500,000 TRX and you hold a 2% share, so you receive 2% of every rental payment and voting-reward distribution. Stake more — or others unstake — and your share (and cut) rises automatically.

It’s enforced on-chain by a reward-per-share accumulator (accRewardPerShare): each payout bumps a running per-share figure, and your claimable balance is your stake × the increase since your last deposit. That makes distribution O(1) and fair by time in the pool — depositing right before a payout can’t skim rewards that accrued before you joined — and you can claim anytime.

Utilization is the lever: unrented Energy regenerates and is wasted daily, so rental income is pure upside on idle TRX. Principal is subject to the ~14-day unstake cooldown; earnings can be claimed anytime.
